Step 1: Log into the dashboard and select "tables" from the drop down menu located to the right of your user name.
Step 2: A page will load with a list of all the tables available to you. Select the table name that contains the field/s you would like to perform a calculation on.
Step 3: A list of all the fields in the table will populate. Choose the field within which you would like to perform a calculation on the value. Click the small calculator icon to the most right of the field.
In this example, we want to edit the year value to determine growth or decline between 2 years.
Step 4: An edit field panel will appear confirming the field name upon which to perform the calculation. Click "Add new value"
Step 5: An additional panel will populate below, with the following options:

1. Displays the names of the calculated values already in place for this field 2. Field to enter name of the new calculated values 3. Allows the user to type or select the values to perform a calculation on 4. Field to manually type the formula, using x1 (x2, x3) as the variables |
Step 6: Enter the name for the calculation
Step 7: Type in the calculated value or use the dropdown list to select the value for which to calculate (up to 4 values may be calculated upon in one formula)
Step 8: Type in the formula in the formula bar, referring to the selected values by their variable name (eg. 2018 is x1, 2017 is x2)
Click save and you are done!
To access these values in the dashboard, simply create the widget and drag and drop the field with the value into the drop area
